ESCAPE GAME for the Integration Day in BTS Logistique with PROMOTRANS (18-21 years old) followed by “Les PrOlympiades” with the CMQ for Orientation of Young People

Beaconing was used for creating geolocalized quests featuring an escape game in Paris, in the framework of the Integration Day of the BTS Logistique PROMOTRANS in September 2018. This integration day happened at the start of the school year and aims at getting new students acquainted with the institution and also at getting all students to know each other.

The activity proposed by ORT was organized with Promotrans in 4 steps:

• Teacher Training, as they are the one who will create the GLP. A face to face meeting, and a webinar
• GLP Creation: with ORT acting as a helpdesk, the team of teachers from Promotrans created the GLP with the help of a mentor teacher. The different fields of the curricula (Management, General Culture, Logistics and Enterprises relation /Law) are represented in the minigames of the Beaconing GLP.
• GLP Validation: the mentor teacher tested the path .
• The D DAY: Integration day for the BTS 1 et BTS 2 on the PROMOTRANS site in Paris 7eme : students are grouped in teams. They start by scanning the QR Code on the departure poster and then go in Paris around the school during 2h30, following the path of Beaconing Game.  In the end, they are redirected to the school and the winner unlocks a suitcase. Different rewards are given to each team according to the time they spent to play the game.

PROMOTRANS is a specialist in the vocational training related to logistics and the supply chain, goods and people transportation maintenance of industrial vehicles, construction and work safety.

Promotrans is developing in constant respect of the current imperatives: regulation, security, sustainable development … The group actively participates, alongside its institutional partners, in the elaboration of these rules, thus defining new business approaches. This commitment enables Promotrans to constantly improve the quality, reliability and adequacy of its programs.

Numbers:  50 campuses in France, 580°collaborators, 50000 trainees and 2500 students each year

PROMOTRANS had been so interested by BEACONING that they organized the use of BEACONING in another event : Les PROLYMPIADES with the CAMPUS des METIERS et des QUALIFICATIONS (CMQ)  Hub AEROPORTUAIRE et Echanges Internationaux, an important Stakeholder who is in charge of the network between Companies, Training Centers and Public Bodies in the Region ROISSY Pole Nord de Paris and 4 Colleges of Grand PARIS, and many stakeholders belonging to Public Body like Chargés de mission d’animation territoriale , Maison de l’emploi de l’Est du Val d’Oise, Conseil Départemental 93, Académie de Versailles (Ministère de l’Education Nationale).

Number of people involved:

120 People involved in the Beaconing Workshop :

• All the Staff of the School PROMOTRANS CAMPUS of GONESSE from the Headquarter to the Managers of each department.
• The Team of CMQ CAMPUS des METIERS et des QUALIFICATIONS (CMQ)  Hub AEROPORTUAIRE et Echanges Internationaux
• 100 Students:
  • 20 students from high school:  2 years after Baccalaureat in France, about 19-21 years old.  In the field of LOGISTICS 
  • 80 students from 4 Colleges of Grand  Paris and their Teachers (2 for each colleges)

Context:

The activity BEACONING was organized during the PrOlympiades, a Special Day in February 2019, in GONESSE, near Paris, for discovering the different Jobs in the field of Logistics . 

The objectives of the activity were:

• To gamify the discovery of the different jobs.
• To create a gamified  atmosphere for affording new connections between old students in High school, young students in College
• To create new connections between Public bodies, Colleges, and Professional Training Center
