During the next Future Classroom Lab #SPW17 organized at EUN by Scientix, Beaconing will be presented to the audience: mainly teachers ambassadors of the Scientix program.
In the morning Beaconing concepts focusing on the innovative parts will be introduced to the audience.
In the afternoon , a Beaconing Hands-on session will be carried out by ORT to Scientix ambassadors in which we’ll present the main minigame types, the Authoring Tool and the Geolocalised quests creation.

The Beaconing concept was presented by Lucia Pannese, imaginary, at “eduTALK 871 eHEALTH” event in St Georgen, Germany, together with their partner imsimity, who is a well known provider of mixed reality solutions for immersive learning.
Attendees came mostly from local schools and public administration and, although the focus in this case was eHealth, learning logics can be applied for any subject.
imaginary and imsimity also discussed in a bilateral meeting the possibility of combining Beaconing’s concepts with imsimity’s technologies for a future exploitation with their customers: e.g. the possibility of plugging one or more pedagogical solutions from imsimity into a Beaconing’s gamified lesson plan was investigated, since a mix between games, augmented reality and 360° would raise students’ motivation to learn. At the same time this would demonstrate that Beaconing can support different kinds of learning solutions and different technologies, coming from different providers.

Beaconing was presented to promote a new concept of historical exploration and heritage experience: a cultural visit can be prepared with the Beaconing authoring tool in the shape of a gamified lesson path in which the tourist can enjoy arts both inside historical buildings (with beacons) and outside (with the GPS of a smartphone) finding out about curiosities and historical data via mini-games.

ORT France, during the EducaTec-Educatice fair, an exhibition for training for education professionals that will take place from Wednesday, 15. November to Friday, 17. November 2017 in Paris. ORT will present on the 15th during a conference how the Gamified Lesson Plans of Beaconing, by using Gamification and Pervasiveness will engage the stakeholders by showcasing the Beaconing solution.
